# API pricing and billing

> Pricing, prepaid credit, and payment guidance for the StoreRouter API.

This guide applies to prepaid organizations using StoreRouter APIs. If your organization has a separate contract, your agreed terms apply.

## API request prices

Prices are in USD.

| Product search | \$0.014 (\$14 per 1,000 requests) |
| Product lookup and parse | \$0.002 (\$2 per 1,000 requests) |

Successful HTTP 2xx requests are charged. Each successful attempt is charged separately, including repeats, retries, and pagination.

## Monthly free credit

Your organization receives \$5 in free credit each monthly renewal. Credit is shared across the organization’s API keys, and free credit is used first. Unused free credit expires at renewal. Buying credit does not change your renewal date or add another free-credit grant.

## Add credit

You can add prepaid credit from the **Usage & billing** page in StoreRouter Platform. Purchased credit does not expire and is non-refundable. There are no subscriptions or automatic recharges.

## Balance and access

Balances and usage can take a few minutes to update. Delayed usage may use some of a new purchase, so your available balance may be lower than the amount you bought.

If prepaid credit is insufficient, covered API requests return HTTP 402 and are not charged.
